One of the most popular events for younger kids is Keiki Fun Day. This is a drop-off event where kids can spend the day doing pony rides, cowboy games, crafts, and visiting the petting zoo. It’s designed to feel active and hands-on while still being beginner-friendly for kids who may not have much experience around animals.
For older kids and teens, Crazy About Horses gives participants a deeper introduction to horsemanship. Not only do their riding skills grow, they learn how to groom, care for, and handle horses while building confidence around them. The experience is smaller and more personal, which helps kids feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
Families looking to participate together usually love Family Fun Nights. These evenings are designed for the whole ohana to enjoy side-by-side, with pony rides, crafts, games, and time to simply hang out at the ranch. Instead of feeling rushed, the atmosphere is relaxed and community-oriented.
And then there’s the monthly Line Dancing Nights, which have become one of the ranch’s most unexpected favorites. The night begins with beginner-friendly dance instruction before opening into line dancing and swing dancing for all experience levels. By the end of the night, you’ll usually find families, college students, locals, and visitors all dancing together.
What makes these experiences different is that they feel less like tourist attractions and more like genuine community events. Kids make friends, parents relax, and visitors get to experience a slower, more connected side of the North Shore.
