With pony rides, a petting zoo, party pavilions, and a playground, Gunstock Ranch has you covered for your next private event.
Let your students or troop experience a fun day at a real ranch
It’s a rare treat for young people to have a hands-on day at a working ranch, and we work hard to make sure they come away having learned a lot and had a great time. Whether it’s a school field trip, a day out for Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, or a club meeting, you can tailor your event to meet your needs.
A typical day consists of 3-4 different stations that your group will rotate through. You can put together a package that meets both your educational goals and budget. Gunstock Ranch is most famous for our horseback rides in the Hawaiian country, and it’s one of the best locations for horseback lessons in Oahu. If you don’t see what you’re looking for in the packages below, we can put together something custom.

Get up close and personal with the animals under the guidance of our expert wranglers. Students have to opportunity to ride horses around the pen, and hold and feed the animals in our petting zoo. We have mini ponies to regular-size horses available depending on the ages of your students.
-
Bandanas, pole bending, and hay bales are all a part of our cowboy station. Children get work as a team and show off their cowboy skills through a variety of age-appropriate games. Each child also gets to design his/her own bandana to take home.
-
In this 45-min station, children go on a mini (10 min.) hike to our arena. Children get a chance to learn more about horses as our wrangler will teach, show, and answer questions.
-
Our team building can be a 45-minute station or a half day of activities. This is an ideal activity for older students or leadership groups. Tell us your goals and we will customize our activities to help build cooperation, communication, trust and leadership skills for your group.
