Petting Zoo

One of the best things about the petting zoo is that it’s free! Finding budget-friendly things to do as a family can be tough, so it’s nice to know that you can come down to the ranch and have fun without it costing you a penny. That’s a big family fun win! The petting zoo is also full of cute animals that love having visitors. We have goats, sheep, baby lambs, and a baby cow named Moonpie. It’s perfect for kids of all ages, and a great way to get familiar with some of the animals that call the ranch home. You also don’t need to book a reservation in advance, so it’s a good thing to choose for a last-minute family outing.

Birthday Parties and Keiki Rides

If you read our last blog post, you already know that you can book parties at Gunstock Ranch. The ranch is especially good for birthday parties because of the beautiful scenery, wide open spaces with lots of room for kids to run around, and the overall family-friendly atmosphere. It’s a place where the kids can have fun and the adults can relax. We have lawn games, private spaces, and the option of adding on a campfire or a pony ride. Speaking of, our Keiki Rides are another great option for family fun. This is a pony ride especially for kids, and parents can walk along and take pictures or ride with their child for an extra charge. Riding a horse + a birthday party = a kid’s dream come true.

Horseback Rides

Horseback rides are way more fun as a family. We can accommodate a small group ride with just your family, or you can join a few other guests as part of a larger group. Either way, you’ll get expert assistance from our wranglers and have a blast as you wind along the trails from open fields to shady forests. At the end of the ride, you’ll have a chance to stop at our spectacular lookout point for the ultimate family picture.
